Being a Team Captain or a member of a team can be a life-changing experience. You can join with your friends, family, or coworkers to start a team driving towards a common goal.

Friends and Family Teams

Starting a friends and family team can be a fun and meaningful way to participate in the event while supporting a loved one who is living with diabetes or who has been affected by the disease. Why start a friends and family team?

  1. Support a loved one: If someone close to you has been diagnosed with diabetes, starting a team can be a powerful way to show your support and solidarity.
  2. Create a sense of community: By working together towards a common goal, you can strengthen your relationships and build new connections with others who share your passion for supporting the diabetes community.
  3. Raise awareness: By riding with your team in the Tour de Cure, you help to raise awareness about diabetes and the impact it has on individuals and families. By sharing your story and reasons for riding, you will inspire others to get involved.
  4. Make a meaningful contribution: The money raised through Tour de Cure goes towards research, education, and advocacy efforts to prevent and cure diabetes. By starting a team, you can contribute to this vital cause and help those living with diabetes.

Corporate Teams

Starting a corporate team in the Tour de Cure is an excellent way for businesses to engage in philanthropy while promoting a healthy lifestyle among their employees. Here are some reasons why your business should consider starting a corporate team in the Tour de Cure:

  1. Team building: Participating in the Tour de Cure can be a great way to build camaraderie among your employees. By working together to raise funds and train for the event, your team will strengthen their relationships and develop a shared sense of purpose.
  2. Health and wellness: Encouraging employees to ride in the Tour de Cure can promote a workplace health and wellness culture. Cycling is an excellent form of exercise that helps reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes.
  3. Corporate social responsibility: Participating in the Tour de Cure is a great way to demonstrate your company's commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the community.
  4. Branding and visibility: Starting a corporate team can also help raise your company's visibility and strengthen your brand. Promoting your participation through social media and other marketing channels can demonstrate your company's values and commitment to social impact.
