Tour de Cure event day is packed with excitement as soon as you park and unload your bike. Check-in time depends on your route choice. Breakfast will be available before your ride, and after you cross the finish line, you can join the festivities and celebrate your accomplishments.

2024 Tour de Cure: Minnesota is a unique cycling event that encompasses all that the Twin Cities has to offer. Centered around Boom Island Park, cyclists will have the opportunity to start and finish right along the Mississippi, with beautiful views of downtown Minneapolis! No matter which route you choose, you will enjoy a fun day of cycling while supporting an amazing cause.

Routes

63 miles - Ready for a Challenge? Sign up for our 63-mile metric century! Follow the Mississippi River south and experience beautiful bike paths, views, and scenery.

52 miles - Our 52-mile route makes for a great day on the bike for riders ready for miles of fun!

25 miles - Head out for 25 miles and follow the Mississippi south as you ride past the University of Minnesota’s campus before continuing down to Hidden Falls Regional Park!

5 miles - Grab the family and ride our fun 5-mile route that takes you all along the waterfront, over the bridge to Nicollet Island Park, over Merriam Street Bridge and Northern Pacific Bridge Number 9! Stop at our halfway point rest stop before heading back up alongside the opposite shore, through multiple parks, before crossing the Plymouth Avenue Bridge and celebrating your ride back at Boom Island!

All routes will be fully supported with flaggers, support and gear (SAG) vehicles, route marshals, bike mechanics, designated rest stops providing nutritious snacks, hydration, restrooms, first aid, cheering friends and more! When you finish your ride back at Boom Island Park you can take a walk around the park, enjoy lunch and music in the ADA Cafe, or join us at the finish line to cheer on the others!

Be sure to download the RidewithGPS app, print, or pick up a route map before you ride out on June 1st. Printed copies at the Registration tent will include the route colors and an emergency phone number.

The safety of our participants and volunteers is our number one priority!

Tour de Cure Staff Will Provide:

  • Sufficient parking available for all attendees
  • A first aid services available at the start/finish line 
  • A designated Emergency Assistance line for participants to call if they require assistance (mechanical or medical)
  • SAG (support & gear) vehicles on the route to assist with any mechanical or medical situations
  • Route marshals on each course to ensure participants are following local traffic rules 

Tour de Cure Attendees Will Be Required To:

  • Check-in: verify their emergency contact information, and receive a bib and wristband with the Emergency Assistance phone number 
  • Receive safety instructions for when to call the assistance number
  • Receive directions to follow the rules of the road and be required to wear a helmet
